The Enchanted Journey was created in response to overwhelming demand for more of Karen's illustrated work featuring unique illustrations that often
include unicorns and fairies. Printed in Australia, the playing cards are presented on professional grade playing card stock with beautiful
illustrations on both their backs and faces. Karen's graphic design business won it's category in the My Business Magazine 2002 Awards.
ABOUT THE ARTIST - Karen Curran
Karen has a creative background in art, music and dance ... most of her family are also creative and are employed (or self-employed) in the fields of
art, music, performing arts, movies and carpentry.
She was educated in Sydney at St George Girls High until HSC 1974, gained a Diploma in Design from the School of Visual Art, holds various other
certificates including the TAFE Cert IV Assessment and Workplace Training for teaching adults. Karen has worked in design and illustration all
her adult life and remembers fondly her early design days in the seventies working for companies such as Dalleys, EMI Records, KVB, before the advent
of computers. Karen is completely at home with traditional methods as well as advanced computer methods on both major platforms of creating art
and design.
She enjoys the support of her extended family including her husband and adult children, who share her love of art, music, dance and movies, and
delights in her young grandchildren and nieces who are an ongoing inspiration in their wonder and enjoyment of life.
